The Proxi story

Quite simply, we’re on a mission to build Kiwi SaaS marketing capability with affordable, flexible marketing strategy and delivery programmes that work – and keep working after we leave.

Founded in 2018 based on a proof of concept developed in 2012-2013. The three founders, Jane, Tim and Christelle work in the business and have expanded the team in recent years. Originally focused on purely Fractional CMO roles it now includes some highly tactical, delivery options as well as in-house creative and brand expertise.

Proxi works with customers and teams all over the world including: New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdon, Europe, USA, South Africa, Middle East, Asia and others that are truly global.

Rolling up her sleeves and getting stuck into marketing that delivers results and enables businesses to scale is Beverley’s happy place. With a marketing degree and over 20 years’ experience under her belt, not much catches her out. She’s worked her tactical and practical marketing magic in Europe, the US, NZ and Australia helping businesses grow and become better recognised. Beverley blends her marketing communications expertise with a common-sense approach to ensure great outcomes. Her skill set includes creating on-brand content for all channels and developing lead-gen campaigns to drive sales.

Helping Kiwi SaaS businesses go global is what gets Christelle up in the morning and she has twenty years’ experience in marketing, innovation and technology to back up her mission. As fractional Chief Marketing Officer, she is exposed to a wide range of technology – from sensor technology, data analytics, streaming, AI to blockchain – and she loves it. Throughout her global career, she has led teams in the entertainment and tech industries and founded her own tech startup. Christelle is a member of the board of La French Tech NZ, supporting NZ SaaS companies to enter French-speaking markets.

Dave is a commercially savvy ‘product guy’ with specialist experience in commercialising and delivering new and unique propositions to market. His superpower is understanding target audiences and communicating how products solve their problems at pace. He has held senior product and marketing roles in technology businesses. As a facilitator, he can draw on his experience across all marketing disciplines to ensure any team can achieve the right outcome. Passionate about delivering great customer experiences – from idea to reality, Dave enjoys nothing more than helping companies ensure customer success.

Having developed the original Proxi model back in 2013, Jane has no doubts as to the difference Proxi is making to growing SaaS companies.  She brings decades of business, marketing and communications experience including running her own agency, working as a senior marketing consultant and as a global marketing director in a variety of roles. In addition to working with a range of successful tech businesses as part of the Proxi team, she has held the roles of Global Alliances Officer for NZ Tech , founder and co-chair of the NZ Tech Marketers Group and Convenor of Judges for the NZ Hi-Tech Awards.

​The art of design is visual communication. Whether it be executing new brand identities or evolving existing brands, Stephanie‘s experience and expertise elevate creativity and messaging down to its clearest visual form – developing meaningful and playful design solutions and experiences for brands and their audiences. Over twenty years working in a wide range of industry sectors has kept Steph’s passion for design alive and kicking. A keen learner and problem solver, she has developed a wide range of creative capabilities – from visual identity to user interface design to website creation.

Tim is a senior marketing strategist with 25 years’ experience working across a wide range of industry verticals, from telco to corporate travel to agtech. He’s worked in the UK, USA, NZ and Australia and has been instrumental in helping some of NZ’s best known tech companies, from 2degrees to Endace, achieve success. Tim’s a trained facilitator, an expert in go-to-market strategy and well connected in key markets around the world. With one of NZ’s most successful tech IPOs under his belt (as Head of Marketing at Serko), Tim is motivated to see NZ SaaS companies succeed on the world stage.
